Just one reason to be cheerful this week but it’s a goody: My Sister
We’re off to the wedding of a uni friend in mid-Wales on Saturday so my sister has come up from Brighton to stay with us in Birmingham for a couple of days beforehand. She always makes me laugh as despite being a high flying Management Consultant for a big international company to me she is still my little sister, perpetually follow by chaos. Since getting here yesterday afternoon she has already realised she has left half of her outfit for the wedding in a bag by her front door, had a minor crash in her hire car and spilt soy sauce on the rug. She’s out getting a spray tan at the moment so I can only imagine what will have happened by the time she gets back. She’s about to move to Australia for work for a couple of years so I’m going to make the most of her company while I can. She was also kind enough to bring us dinner home from Selfridges food hall yesterday: sushi, beer and krispy kreme doughnuts, a classic combination!
Ohh how lovely, it always makes me smile when I think of people I know who hold down such important and well paid jobs and then because I know them I see the chaos!
I hope the wedding is excellent.
Thanks for joining in #R2BC Mich x
Thanks Mich, always a pleasure!
hope wedding goes well! sounds like your sister keeps you on your toes 😉
Ha ha, that’s a nice way of putting it!
In quite a short post, you really help us to picture your sister.
It is odd how some very capable people can also be very incapable in other ways. What do you mean am I talking about myself?!
I hope the sisterly fun continues apace and that the wedding is great.
I talk of a sibling in less glowing terms this week over at http://gigglingatitall.blogspot.com
Oh and I love that strapline of yours about why you blog.
The wedding was brilliant, thanks. I’ll pop over to yours in a bit and we can compare notes 😉
Krispy Kreme donuts! What else do you need to be cheerful!
They are great, didn’t do much for my diet but so worth it!
Hope all goes well with the wedding and the food she brought sounds wonderful! Enjoy her before she goes and think of the holidays you could have!
Holidays are definitely a silver lining!
