I haven’t joined in with Listography for a while but this weeks is a lovely one to ponder on. Which celebs would we like to go for a beer with? Well, I like my celeb mates to be more than just a pretty face, not that I’d shove Johny Depp off a barstool but he’d have to brush up on his current affairs if he wanted to join my dream team. Not only would my 5 celebs make it an interesting evening, we’d totally kick arse at the quiz.
I’ve mentioned my favourite journo many times. I’m a politics geek and he’d know what’s going on behind the scenes and he’s not as intimidating as Paxo.
2) Germaine Greer
She’s scary clever and not afraid to say it how she sees it. You know you wouldn’t be short of some controversial conversation with her at your table.
3) Stephen Fry
Everyone loves him, don’t they? He’s funny, he know’s loads of random trivia and he drives a taxi. What more could you ask for on a night out?
4) Dara O’Briain
A man who makes me laugh but he also knows all about current affairs from Mock the Week and has a degree in maths and astrophysics so a double whammy on the quiz front as well.
5) Dr Robert Winston
A lovely man whose done amazing work on IVF. I was blown away by how he got those teenagers involved in a science lesson in ‘Jamie’s Dream School’ and I’d like to know what he thinks about the shake up going on in the NHS at the moment.
So who would you like to take to the pub with you? You can link up over at Kate Takes 5 and see everyone elses lists so do pop over.

I would.feel very intimidated and a bit dim drinking with them! Would definitely learn a thing or too. Never knew you were such an intellect x x .
Hardly, I’d just be taking the lead in the ‘Tea and Day Time TV’ round of the quiz. That’s where my real talents lie! x
I love Dara O’Brian, he is brilliantly funny. I think with Robert Winston I’d probably sit and grill him all about my baby son … “so this thing he does, is that normal? Does it make him a genius? Oooh really?” etc
Ha ha! I know what you mean. It would be hard not to quiz him.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes… first list I’ve read that I’ve agreed with every choice.
Why thank you! You’d be welcome to join us 🙂
oOO an excellent list. Hard to fault. In fact impossible. Thanks for joining in. x
Thanks Kate, another good topic!
What a clever bunch! Hee hee you and Andrew Marr! I LOVE him only since he gave an interview outside Stormont during the peace process and was so tipsy he giggled all the way through. Adorable!
Don’t know what you’re talking about! That’s just his natural enthusiasm for the political process.
Brilliant choices of brilliant people which probably makes you quite brilliant too
