Tasty Treats
Yesterday we had a bit of good news. After a year of really hard work Hubs has been promoted. He does get a small pay increase which is obviously very welcome when you’ve got two young boys. The best part, however, is the memo that has gone round the company announcing his new role which praises his commitment to the firm and all he has achieved for them and expresses their confidence in the direction he will be taking his division over the coming year. It’s a small thing really and probably only took a few minutes to write but how nice to have them publicly recognise his work. I know it certainly wouldn’t happen where I work. I can’t imagine many stay at home parents are getting letters like that either. Perhaps we should just give ourselves a pat on the back, hey?

I was a little worried his new status might be going to his head when he emerged from the bathroom looking rather damp and proclaimed that people with ‘Director’ in their title shouldn’t have to bath slippery toddlers and he should have a minion to do it for him. Yeah, good luck with that! So just to make sure he’s keeping it real we celebrated with a kebab and chocolate brownies.
[Throughout April I'm taking part in the A to Z Challenge. This is my post for T. Yesterday I blogged about Stationery (yes really, it's an important subject) and U will be along later.]
