Saving on your trip to Thorpe Park and win tickets for a family of 4

Thorpe Park was the first theme park I ever went to. It must have been nearly thirty years ago now and I remember it being incredibly exciting although I was a little bemused by the massive pink rabbit that seemed to be everywhere. We moved away soon after and I’ve never given it much thought since, until I saw some fellow bloggers had visited recently and WOW! It was a great day out before but now it really earns it reputation as the Thrill Capital of the UK.

You can expect massive rides like The Swarm and Nemesis Inferno but also more family friendly rides like the spinning Zodiac or the magic carpet inspired Quantum and lets not forget all the water based fun with log flumes, rapids, water slides and even a beach for the little ones to splash about. If you don’t think you can squeeze all that into one day Thorpe Park also now have the ‘Crash Pad‘ so families can stay on site in an en suite family room and then, after a tasty breakfast, head off for a second day in the park.

  • You can get a 2-for-1 voucher from Frijj on their Facebook Page
  • You can get 2-for-1 tickets from Coke here
  • You can save 30% by booking your tickets more than 7 days in advance
  • You can get online discounts from South West Trains

If you’d like to check out reviews from some of the bloggers who visited recently then head over to Mummy Barrow (who took her teenagers) or My Life, My Son, My Way (who took her 9 year old son who has Down Syndrome). Mammasaurus and Lunch Box World also have some great tips for getting the most out of your day.

If you think you can handle the adrenalin, the lovely folks at Thorpe Park have given me a set of family day tickets for 4 people to give away. If you’d like to be in with a chance of winning them just leave me a comment telling which ride you’d most like to go on and record your answer in the rafflecopter widget below. You can then get all the usual extra entries for tweeting etc and record them too. The giveaway will run until Monday 20th May 2013.

Please note the prize is ticket for entry for up to 4 people. Travel, accommodation, food and other expenses are not included.

Thanks for the mention! It really IS a fantastic day out. Little things like sofas outside the coffee place by the entrance so people can sit and chill whilst others in their group go off and thrill ride.

We had an absolute blast and will DEFINITELY be going again. Especially with all those great two for one offers available. Rude not to when it is only 30 mins up the road!

My bravest ride would have to be the log flume too.My kids are too old for the teeny bopper rides I used to be happy going on them with but the log flume is just about the only ride left that we will all happily go on together!

I really don’t enjoy rides but I know how much my family absolutely love them. So I would be happier holding the bags, coats, etc and taking photographs of them enjoying all the rides so we have a lovely record of the family fun we had.
