It sounds like there are a lot of sound reasons for implementing it, but I think the reality is there are too many stumbling blocks to make it happen. When would you bring it in? As soon as kids start secondary at 11, or maybe in year 9 when they are all teenagers? How would it fit in with after-school activities?
I know my husband would just say ‘they have to get up early, deal with it! We have to deal with it as adults!’.

I was pretty convinced by the research that for teens in particular, a later start would be helpful.
