I just had to joint in with Boo & Me’s Mix Tape Monday when I saw this weeks prompt was a song from the best gig you’ve ever been to. This was such a obvious one for me I knew immediately what I’d go for. Think you’ve picked a goody? If part of the group didn’t arrive in a giant hamster ball then you’re not even close.
I’ve found a recording of the event itself and if you had exceptional eyesight a very much younger me could be spotted at the front, right on the barrier to the right of the stage along with Mum of One and a handful of school friends. This is the opening couple of minutes of the show. I’ve found quite a few videos from the set while looking for this and it has brought back wonderful memories.
This is me a few hours earlier:

What an amazing gig. Love the patchwork trousers too, I think I had some very similar that I begged my Granny to make for me 🙂

Fantastic stuff. I used to be really, really into The Prodigy back in the day. Had loads of their remixes on vinyl, posters, would buy up every magazine that even mentioned them on the front cover.
I saw them a couple of years back in Wembley Arena. I managed to get the worst place to stand in the whole arena but it was great. Saw them in Brixton Academy a couple of times, once must have been on the same tour as that in the video.
