Blimey, Monday again! Time to link up with Mum of One and make my promise for the week. If you saw my Silent Sunday this week you’ll know that T has been getting to grips with self feeding so:
This week baby I promise… to let you hold the sticky, slippery banana and not just the boring old rice cakes.
Why don’t you pop over to Mum of One to link up your weekly resolution?

Hehe. I’m a bit guilty of this one. Don’t mind him holding the odd baby biscuit but banana and avocado are just so messy. Perhaps an idea for me for next week.

Oooh, avocado. We haven’t tried that yet.

He loves it but stuff like banana and nectarine just constantly slips through his fingers and generally onto the carpet. Sticky!

Mahahaha I just let Moo get messy. Which is why she so frequently ends up orange from pasta sauce. There’s NO WAY you’ll keep them clean, just go for it!!

It has led to some excellent profile pictures so I guess it’s not all bad.

Agree with MotherVenting. I let mine all self feed as soon as poss. They used their hands to feed everything (spaghetti, cottage pie, quiche etc) they even managed soup on their own dippin bread in it. Top to toe enjoyment and good eaters. Part of loving and learning about food is playing with it!!!
