Finding a job you like can make such a difference to how happy you are but it’s not always as easy as it might be, particularly when there a children to consider too. Even if you’re not happy in your job it can seem like a huge step to change directions or even take some time to retrain.
Last year I took the plunge and gave up my job as a Project Manager to write and blog full time. It was pretty scary at the time but I’m so glad I did it now that I have much more flexibility and can spend more time with the boys. Of course blogging isn’t for everyone and another great option particularly for mums is a job in childcare, perhaps childminding in your own home or being a teaching assistant in a classroom.
Childcare College are sponsoring today’s giveaway. If you think a career in childcare might be for you then check out their website where you can find out all about the different type of courses and qualifications you can take to help you make that change. They are NCFE accredited and you can study at home. They will even help arrange placements for you where needed.
So to get us all motivated to think about what we really want to be doing with our lives Childcare College are asking you to share with us the worst job you’ve ever had and one lucky reader will be selected at random to win a great Acer Iconica 7″ tablet. I’ve had a few dodgy ones over the years but the worst had to be being a Chambermaid in a small hotel when I was a teenager. You would not believe the state some people would leave their rooms in. It makes me shudder just thinking about it!
To enter leave me a comment sharing your worst job and then record your entry in the Rafflecopter widget. You can get extra entries for tweeting etc and record them too. The giveaway will run until Monday 18th November 2013.
You’ll find lots more competitions on my comp page, the November Competition Time Linky and on our collaborative Competitions and Giveaways Pinterest Board.
The giveaway is only open to UK residents over the age of 18. the winner will be contacted within 5 days of the closing date either by email or twitter depending on the details they have left. If they do not respond within a week a new winner will be drawn.
