The vast majority of our travels are self-funded but there are a number of ways in which we work with travel companies and organisations. This is a great way for us to stretch our budgets further and be able to write about a bigger variety of things on Yellow Days.
Authenticity and transparency are key to Yellow Days as a brand and form the cornerstones of our relationship with our readers and subscribers. We will always ensure that details of any commercial relationships are explicitly stated in the post and all opinions expressed will be our own.
If you’re interested in working with Yellow Days we’d love to hear from you so we can discuss what you’re looking for in more detail. We are happy to consider:
Reviews
Since starting Yellow Days we have been given travel, accommodation, activities and products for the purpose of review. We enjoy doing reviews, especially on things and experiences that are new to us. Depending on the item, the review might take the form of a full blog post, pictures and comments across our social media channels or a section within a wider post. We’re happy to include links to relevant sites, pictures of the venue/product and details of price and stockists as appropriate. Unfortunately, we’re not able to review all the things we are offered so please contact us before sending any products so we can make sure it is suitable and agree a timescale for the review. Please be aware that the review will reflect our honest opinion and will make clear what payment or gifts we have received. Here are some examples of our reviews:
Sponsored or Advertorial Posts
Providing the opportunity to go into greater detail and highlight key information, these types of posts can be a great way to raise awareness of your product or destination and generate warm leads and traffic to your website.
Affiliate Links
We will often provide links to relevant websites for the convenience of our readers. Occasionally, if a purchase is made via one of these links we may receive a small commission at no cost to the reader. Where this is the case it will be made clear in the text.
Charity
Sometimes I will use a post to raise awareness of a charity or not for profit organisation that I consider important, for example the Save the Children campaign for more healthworkers in developing countries. I have not and will never take any form of payment for doing this.
