Today – Post Pregnancy Hair Loss – Top Tips for Hair Care for New Mums
The combination of post pregnancy hair loss with the lack of time and sleep common to all new mums often leaves our hair not looking its best.
I’ve collected up some top tips from parenting bloggers who’ve been there and learned all the tricks.
New Mum Hair Care Tips
Messy buns are the way forward. They look nice, are super easy to do, hide greasy or frizzy hair and your baby can’t pull your hair or be sick in it.
Dry shampoo will give you a lift when you have no time for washing/styling.
Don’t panic! All your hair clogging up the shower may make it feel like you’re going to need a hair transplant but it will stop fairly quickly and your hair will go back to normal.
Always get up, shower & get dressed. The day always seems better when you’re fresh and clean.
Hats! After the twins, my hair started to fall out, joys! I had a robust collection of hats!
I hope you’ll find these new mum hair care tips helpful or at least comforting that you’re not alone. It’s also worth remembering that eating a balanced diet (or topping up with a hair and skincare multivitamin) can only help with the health of your hair. It always pays to look after yourself!
