Lovely fresh milk is one of the key ingredients of the Cadbury chocolate we all know and love but as we all continue to become a bit further removed from the sources of our food more and more children don’t really understand how we get milk in the first place.

Mum of two and partner of McFly’s Tom Fletcher, Giovanna Fletcher often hears kids’ misunderstandings about where their food comes from.

Some are funny. Some are slightly concerning! Including:

• One in five children don’t know that milk comes from cows
• 11% of boys believe milk comes straight from the supermarket
• Almost a third of children believe a cow’s diet includes sandwiches and pizza

To help bring the process to life, Giovanna takes a group of children to visit a family farm in Gloucester, to see for themselves where Cadbury gets its milk. Here’s a little video of how they got on:
