The new era of the tablet gives us all a helping hand when it comes to making plans for Valentine’s Day. This cute little infographic from the team behind the range of Xperia tablets and smartphones reminds me just how integral our tablets have become to our lives in recent years. They don’t just perform one function, they fit in with everything we’re doing day to day.
At less than half a kilo Sony’s Xperia Tablet Z isn’t just light and portable enough to go anywhere with you, it’s even waterproof so you’re safe in a shower or even from a spill in the kitchen while cooking your romantic Valentine’s Day dinner. You can book your night out while you’re commuting in to work or send a photo reminder to your loved one on your lunch break and great battery life will keep it going all day.
When the special evening arrives you can set the mood with some music, double check your recipe or even order a pizza if it’s all gone a bit wrong in the kitchen. Its 10″ screen has a resolution of 1920×1080 so you could happily snuggle up to watch a film together on it or even use its universal remote feature and 4G connectivity to share that film to your main home TV for the whole family to watch. After all, Valentine’s Day for those of us with kids isn’t often just a two person affair anymore!
So what do you have planned for Valentine’s Day? Will you be getting a little helping hand from technology to make it special?

This year I think we are bypassing Valentines and Birthdays until after our holiday but I would love a tablet and you can find so many ideas for free or cheap online x
They are so handy. I was actually quite cross when Hubs bought one as I thought it was a waste of money and now I’m permanently attached to it!
I love the idea of sharing romantic photos on the TV
You old romantic, you!
Ooh, in love a bit of technology but in hadn’t thought of using it for Valentines Day! Thanks for the inspiration.
When you’ve been together for a while you have to start thinking a bit ‘outside the box’ for Valentine’s Day, don’t you?
Couldn’t live without technology but i miss a proper Valentine’s Day…a walk in the park…watching the sunset..
Aww, that sounds lovely!
I’m all for a bit of tech geekery, but I have to say I don’t think it would feel the same without a bit of tradition thrown in too!
Yes, best of both worlds I think!
I like the idea of watching films in bed…though I am already in trouble for reading too much and perhaps a bit of crochet here and there. Hmmmm.
I’m guilty of crocheting in bed. Hubs is not impressed.
Haha I love a very modern Valentine’s. Gosh I hadn’t even thought about what we’re doing as I’m spending most of my evening doing TeamHonk with the Beavers.
All in a good cause then!
With Mr C’s birthday and our wedding anniversary all within the month after Valentines Day I have to say that we usually just skip it! Otherwise we run out of gift ideas
Oh I do love a bit of technology and I wouldn’t say no to getting one of these for Valentines lol
We normally just have a nice meal at home together x
